Community Development Facilitator (2)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill 2 vacant positions of Community Development Facilitator in Mzuzu and Mulanje.
The successfull candidate will report to the Community Development Coordinator and will be responsible for mobilising communities and ensuring their effective participation in planning management monitoring and evaluation of development intervention in consonance with Plan's mission, domain and principles.
DUTIES
• Organize and manage sponsored children, their families and communities to ensure their effective participation in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of the development interventions in consonance with Plan’s Mission, Vision, Domains and Program Principles.
• Facilitate the identification of development needs through participatory approaches and overseeing the implementation of community projects and ensure timeline of completion through frequent supervision of projects.
• Ensure that sponsored children, their families and communities benefit from program interventions.
• Facilitate capacity building of local structure for sustainable program interventions through participatory approaches in line with Human Rights Based Approaches to Development and in accordance with the PULTP.
• Ensure the maintenance and strengthening of linkages, networks and collaborations with Plan and community interest groups, local governments, CBO other NGIOs within their area for quality program delivery.
Qualifications:
• First Degree, preferably in Social Sciences and development, Public Administration, Agriculture, Education or Community Development or any other relevant field.
• Internship experience in development work would have an added advantage but is not a pre-requisite
• Experience in program development and management
